The exhibition centre wanted to achieve a modern look to their bar and restaurant area without it looking to heavy duty and industrial. They decided that the galvanised look on everything was too industrial for them so they combined the galvanised clamps with a black powder coated tube. This contrasted the galvanised clamps well but also blended with the wooden panelling and tables they used for an overall modern and contemporary feel.
The lighting for the tables was cleverly designed so that the wiring could run within the tubes to create an arm that reached over the tables and provided a point for a light shade to be attached.
This created a very unique and modern feel to the café but at the same time a very robust and flexible solution that could always be changed, moved or added to due to its flexible modular nature.
